Commercial Lending Specialist

Bank of Hope is seeking a highly skilled Loan Officer III to join our team. As a Loan Officer III, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, evaluating creditworthiness, and making informed lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applicants, including evaluation of cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage.
- Credit Evaluation: Assess creditworthiness of loan applicants, considering factors such as credit history, collateral, and other relevant credit information.
- Loan Presentations: Prepare comprehensive loan presentations, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of loan applicants and their creditworthiness.
- Decision Making: Make informed lending decisions, taking into account banking regulations, Bank policies, and procedures.
- Collateral Management: Gather and perfect security interests in collateral, as applicable.
- Problem Loan Detection: Identify early warning signs of problem loans and notify supervisors, Chief Credit Administrator, Loan Review, or Loan Servicing.
- Loan Monitoring: Monitor loan covenants and conditions, reporting any violations to managers.
- Loan Closing and Funding: Assist in loan closing and funding, obtaining signatures on loan documents according to Bank procedures.
- Collateral Valuation: Analyze collateral values and insurance coverage.
- Customer Relationship Management: Meet customers regularly, seeking opportunities to grow relationships.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: Reg B, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act, CRA, Privacy, and Security.
- Commercial Lending Experience: 5+ years of commercial lending experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to respond effectively to customer complaints or other sensitive inquiries.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Technical Skills: Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Time Management: Effectively manage multiple deadlines and projects.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of bank regulations affecting customer accounts and lending operations.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 annually - $100,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
