Position Responsibilities:

As an Account Supervisor II, you will:

  • Proactively promote safety metrics and key performance indicators related to service pickup, deadhead percentages, and weekly assignments.
  • Oversee driver performance to ensure a balance between business objectives and driver needs.
  • Utilize High Performance Coaching techniques to guide drivers on performance and behavioral expectations.
  • Maintain the highest level of service for U.S. Xpress customers through effective relationship management and proactive communication.
  • Maximize profitability and revenue through optimal equipment utilization.
  • Foster win/win scenarios that enhance both driver and customer satisfaction.
  • Employ effective communication strategies to address sensitive issues and resolve driver disputes.
  • Plan driver loads based on availability and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate with drivers regarding physicals, random drug screenings, and CDL renewal deadlines.
  • Utilize systems such as AS400 and XPM to enhance departmental productivity.
  • Collaborate with operational and support departments on various tasks.
  • Perform yard duties as assigned.
  • Work proactively to assist others in achieving organizational goals.
  • Build credibility and trust among managed employees through timely feedback and positive reinforcement.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in operations, including customer service, fleet management, or load planning is preferred. Experience in transportation, logistics, or supervisory roles is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and managing change.
  • Efficient and quick in problem-solving, with the ability to test solutions and iterate rapidly.
  • Proactive and pragmatic in addressing challenges.
  • Effective communicator across various mediums.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations affecting daily operations is preferred.
