Overview:
This role involves evaluating, creating, executing, and overseeing the nutritional requirements of patients to provide thorough nutrition care services. The Clinical Dietitian is tasked with planning, developing, and disseminating nutrition information through educational initiatives and resources. Additionally, this position contributes to departmental program development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates, executes, and manages nutritional care strategies based on comprehensive assessments
  • Advises individuals and families on dietary principles and nutritional plans
  • Customizes plans to accommodate individual preferences, lifestyles, and cultural dietary practices
  • Facilitates follow-up and referrals as necessary
  • Reviews menus to ensure they fulfill patient nutritional requirements
  • Engages in discharge planning and suggests home care nutrition options
  • Participates in professional development activities to remain current with dietetics practices
  • Designs, implements, and assesses patient food quality feedback mechanisms
  • Conducts orientation and training sessions for staff
  • Involves in health education initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in food and nutritional sciences or a related discipline
  • Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship recognized by the American Dietetic Association
  • Registered Dietitian license in Hawaii
  • Basic Life Support certification

Requirements:
  • Proven ability to effectively utilize resources for research purposes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience as a clinical dietitian
  • Master's degree with an ADA accredited internship
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
