Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grinding Specialist to join our team at Stainless Fabrication Inc. As a Grinding Specialist, you will be responsible for grinding and smoothing surfaces of steel parts or tanks to achieve high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate grinding machines to determine the quality and finish of grinding.
  • Grind welds to the appropriate filet size.
  • Determine the appropriate grinds per customer specifications and ensure that all grinds meet quality assurance standards.
  • Provide insight to supervisors and efficiently manage time and resources.
  • Perform all tasks of a Grinder-Class B Craftsman with no assistance.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety guidelines as noted in the Safety Manual.
  • Assist supervisors and perform other duties as needed and directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
