Role Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of sophisticated electrical components and sub-assemblies, operating with a high degree of autonomy. This role reports to the Manager of Electronics Research and Engineering or the Manager of RF Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail electrical components and sub-assemblies
  • Conduct research, testing, and assembly of electrical components and sub-assemblies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Assist in documenting components and sub-assemblies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logbooks
  • Ensure design documentation is up-to-date for review
  • Engage in collaborative design efforts with a keen awareness of design implications
  • Provide research support, stay informed on new technologies, and foster product innovation
  • Support specialized electrical designs with a high level of technical independence

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits strong communication skills and appropriate personality traits
  • Understands design implications in a collaborative environment
  • Proficient in documentation (prints, schematics, BOM, specifications, etc.)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, coordination, and facilitation skills
  • Aware of the needs of multi-disciplinary stakeholders

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with relevant work experience
  • 7+ years of applicable professional experience
