Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner
The Heart Center is in search of a dedicated Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to enhance its established cardiology team. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will play a vital role in delivering specialized electrophysiology clinical services, focusing on the assessment and management of patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs), such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations for both inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients as directed by supervising physicians.
2. Formulate diagnoses and develop tailored care plans, including the ordering of necessary tests, diagnostics, and medications.
3. Oversee the management of ordered tests, ensuring timely communication of patient results and coordinating any additional required testing.
4. Monitor and manage devices, including interrogation, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
5. Assist in device implantation, which encompasses pre-operative assessments, inpatient care, and discharge planning.
6. Regularly monitor remote websites and investigate/triage transmissions for patient devices.
7. Evaluate urgent cases involving CIED patients.
8. Provide training to RNs, technicians, and fellow NPs on the fundamentals of electrophysiology and the management of patients with electrophysiological abnormalities, emphasizing CIED evaluation and reprogramming.
9. Conduct Tilt Table Testing in accordance with established protocols.
10. Develop and implement clinical protocols for device management.
11. Engage in clinical research planning and execution.
12. Travel may be required to various Heart Center locations.
Qualifications:
- Valid NYS License and Board Certification.
- Previous cardiology experience is preferred, though training is available for the right candidate.

Salary Range:
$105,000 - $150,000 annually
