Cardiology Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner Position

The Heart Center at Nuvance Health is seeking an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to join its established and growing cardiology team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing electrophysiology clinical services and support, including assessment and monitoring of patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs).
Key Responsibilities:
Performs and records physical examinations on inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients and conditions as directed by physicians.
Develops diagnoses and plans of care, ordering necessary testing, diagnostics, and medications.
Manages ordered tests, including providing patient results and ordering additional testing as needed.
Monitors devices, including interrogation, management, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Assists with device implantation, including pre-op assessments, management of issues, and completing admissions and discharges.
Daily monitors and manages remote websites and investigates/triages transmissions.
Evaluates urgent CIED patients.
Trains RNs, technicians, and NPs on electrophysiology basics and device management.
Performs Tilt Table Testing according to defined protocol.
Creates and implements device clinical protocols.
Participates in clinical research planning and execution.
Qualifications:
NYS License and Board Certification
Cardiology experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
