Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate all facets of project delivery, including pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out.
- Document Review: Review and submit comments on pre-construction documents to designers as necessary.
- Reporting: Plan, organize, and prepare reports to upper management on project status and progress.
- Agency Coordination: Coordinate with public agencies during pre-construction and construction to ensure compliance with off-site work requirements.
- Project Budgeting: Manage project budgets and schedules to meet district qualitative standards.
- Contractor Management: Manage daily activities of contractors, review construction schedules and submittals, and coordinate responses to contractor inquiries.
- Change Order Negotiation: Review and negotiate contractor change order proposals to achieve fair and reasonable prices.
- Payment Administration: Review and administer payments for contractors, architects, engineers, and other parties.
- Project Close-out: Coordinate project close-out with respect to project certification and financial close-out.
- Experience: Eight years of full-time professional experience in project/construction management of commercial and/or public/educational facility construction.
- Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
- Skills: Experience with building information modeling (BIM), leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) certified projects, and division of the state architect (DSA) construction/design processes.
