Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to students in accordance with school nutrition program guidelines.

  • Perform duties of food preparation, serving, and cleaning up as assigned by the manager.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety procedures, including washing dishes and storing them properly.
  • Maintain records of food for menu management books and assist with ordering, receiving, and controlling food and supplies.
  • Operate a computer at meals and perform cash counts as directed.
  • Attend job-related training classes and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in nutrition or a related field is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Light independent judgment is necessary to establish order in the cafeteria.
  • Regular contact with internal and external personnel of decision-making responsibility.
Work Environment

This position is located in a school kitchen/cafeteria environment, subject to varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels.
