Vireo Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. The successful candidate will provide consulting services and dispense medical cannabis to patients, working alongside the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the dispensing of all cannabis-based medications from our Cannabis Patient Centers (CPC)
- Maintain accurate medical cannabis inventory, including processing returns and removal of outdated products from the CPC inventory
- Provide direct patient care through virtual, live, or telephone consultations with approved medical cannabis patients
- Make clinical decisions regarding product recommendations based on patient qualifying conditions and other factors
- Complete CPC operational requirements, including organizing and directing technician workflow, verifying and labeling medications, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections
- Address questions from providers, patients, and the community
- Comply with all state regulations and provide oversight for overall CPC compliance
- Participate in record keeping and reporting necessary for state compliance
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Remain current on cannabis-based pharmacological knowledge
- Educate and share cannabis-based medication knowledge with the broader CPC team
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing within the state
- Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings with emphasis on customer service
- Preferred additional training in Cannabis-Based Medicine
- Available to work a flexible schedule of days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Maintains and safeguards entrusted confidential information
- Proficiency in MS Office and other required software
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Ability to assist and mentor new hires/PharmD students
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate effectively with patients, families, co-workers, and medical professionals
- Prompt attendance to shifts and responsible time management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to function independently and proactively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to understand, support, and implement organizational policies/procedures and state regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
- Maintains professional relationships with patients and co-workers
- Ability to perform job duties effectively when under stress and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and grow with the company
- Analyzes information and implements quality control
- Acts ethically and applies good judgment
