Job Title: Branch Manager

At Restaurant Depot, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive company image.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient operation of the Branch to meet customer satisfaction and projected bottom line profit.
  • Manage personnel issues and supervision, maintaining a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.
  • Develop strong business relationships with customers through open communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, pest control, and shrink control.
  • Review financial and operational reports, taking necessary actions based on report results.
  • Direct subordinates to manage all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Define service standards and operational mission, communicating them to employees and monitoring activities to meet Branch goals.
  • Maximize sales opportunities through high levels of customer service, ensuring proper scheduling of the workforce while meeting budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management level personnel.
  • Directly supervise and manage Assistant Branch Managers and Department Managers.
  • Coach managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Review inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and in-house products.
  • Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  • Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills.
  • Customer service orientation and commitment to company values.
Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate, with areas that are cold (Freezer) and hot (Damages area). The work is mostly performed standing/walking, with the ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break. Physical labor is infrequent, but may be required to move merchandise or clean areas. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) move material throughout the warehouse.
