Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

As an Employee Wellbeing Specialist at UNICEF, you will play a vital role in promoting staff wellbeing and supporting the organization's mission. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and facilitating psycho-social support programs to enhance staff resilience and mental health
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and deliver mental health and wellbeing initiatives that align with UNICEF's strategies
  • Implementing evidence-based wellbeing programs to promote staff wellbeing and reduce stress
  • Providing subject matter expertise on mental health and wellbeing to support staff and managers
  • Serving as a point of contact for headquarters divisions to assess and address unique wellbeing needs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced university degree in counselling, clinical psychology, or a related field, and registration with a professional health body
  • A minimum of five years' experience in staff support, mental health, counselling, and related areas, preferably gained within the UN system or international development/humanitarian aid sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise tact and confidentiality
  • Experience working in a humanitarian or emergency programming context is an asset
