About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Leave Administration Specialist to join our team at CABS Health Network, a well-established Licensed Home Care Agency in Brooklyn, New York.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire leave process for client employees from commencement to return-to-work, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Interpret and administer leave programs and policies according to federal and state employment laws with absence management vendors.
  • Advise and educate employees on leave policies, procedures, and programs, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist employees regarding eligibility concerns following vendors' determination and facilitate medical information while maintaining HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and department timekeepers to ensure accurate leave time processing and tracking in the timekeeping system.
  • Enter and update employee records in HRIS relative to leave start and end dates, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Coordinate benefit premium payments through communications with payroll for individuals on leave without paid time.
  • Produce reporting metrics and analytics for leave programs by extracting data from vendor sites.
Qualifications

To succeed as our Leave Administration Specialist, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum two years of HR experience, preferably with three years of leave administration.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local leave regulations and worker's compensation laws.
  • Experience with leave of absence policy provisions, carriers, and best practices in leave administration.
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a pleasant phone demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
What We Offer
