Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and portion control guidelines, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Perform sanitation tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of kitchen equipment and workspaces, while balancing other duties.
  • Assemble sandwiches daily for service, adhering to predetermined quantities.
  • Utilize slicing equipment for deli preparations, including meats and toppings, and maintain the deli station by replenishing supplies as necessary.
  • Organize the cold food section to feature a la carte options and sandwiches.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations set forth by local, state, and federal authorities regarding food handling.
  • Interact respectfully with all faculty, students, and staff.
  • Follow all security protocols and guidelines specific to the client location.
  • Receive and store incoming inventory efficiently.
  • Observe designated break schedules.
  • Assist in collecting and cleaning trays for dishwashing, participating in daily ware washing tasks.
  • Ensure proper storage of dishes, pans, and pots in their designated areas.
  • Contribute to team efforts, including assisting with inventory management when required.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and maintain a positive work environment.
Operate the Point of Sale system daily and complete cashier sign-off sheets as instructed.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of all required training programs as mandated by Whitsons.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restrictions.
  • Food Handler certification is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively understand and execute job responsibilities.
  • Consistently present a professional and positive demeanor.
