Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Principal PHY/MAC RTL Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing low power wireless connectivity solutions for IoT devices. If you have a passion for innovation, a strong background in digital design, and a desire to work with a talented team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Develop expert-level understanding of short-range wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee.
- Design and implement MAC/PHY algorithms for industry-leading low power IoT connectivity devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop requirements specifications for various MAC/PHY functions.
- Work closely with the system group to understand fixed-point implementation of various algorithms.
- Create micro-architecture specifications, implement in Verilog/SystemVerilog, and verify MAC/PHY algorithms to meet requirements.
- Present work to a wider audience and participate in periodic reviews.
- Focus on low power aspects of design/implementation and work with ASIC/FPGA implementation teams to meet sign-off criteria.
- Expert-level experience in RTL coding, verification, and debugging using EDA tools.
- Working knowledge of fixed-point RTL implementation.
- Experience in digital design and implementation of signal processing and/or PHY/MAC algorithms for WLAN or similar technologies.
- Experience in SoC architecture, bus protocols, and peripherals.
- Experience in low power design techniques.
- Familiarity with ASIC/FPGA implementation flow and debug.
- Qualifications: BS/MS/Ph.D. in EE or related field, with prior experience in 802.11ax/be or similar wireless PHY implementation.
