Houston Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our Nebraska team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and review project studies, reports, and design documents for water resources projects.

* Provide field services and construction oversight for water resources projects such as dams, levees, streams, and lakes.

* Mentor and develop younger engineers to become effective water resource modelers, designers, planners, and project managers.

* Engage in public speaking regarding civil engineer water resources projects.

**Project Focus:**

* Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

* Storm water planning

* Stream restoration

* Design of flood reduction and water quality improvements

* Watershed-scale plans and studies

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

* 5+ years of experience in water resources engineering

* Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
