Role Overview:

Arcadis is seeking a Water Engineer/Management Consultant to join our Resilience Water Team and work on a variety of engagements with our Water Asset Management practice.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. They will possess the initiative and ability to take on new projects, learn new skills independently, troubleshoot issues, and tackle other challenges regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments, and capital improvement planning.
  • Perform analyses on large utility datasets, including GIS, CMMS, condition inspection databases, capacity assessment/hydraulic modeling, etc.
  • Develop and implement automated applications and coordinate information requirements to increase productivity.
  • Perform services on-site or off-site to support client staff in planning/scheduling, condition assessment, capacity assessment, contractor management, etc.
  • Develop and review technical reports and presentations for projects.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and client staff to perform business process/work method assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analyses, and generate reports.
  • Design and implement analytics and dashboard platforms.
  • Database design, development, and database management for SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Some travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management
  • 3 years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience with a medium/large municipal utility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data analytics experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other relevant programs.
  • Understanding of water and wastewater process equipment, distribution, and collection system assets.
  • Understanding of database functionality and information systems.
