Job Title: Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our Early Intervention team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services to children with developmental delays and their families.

Job Summary:

The Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for screening, evaluating, and providing ongoing assessment and treatment to children eligible for early intervention services. You will work closely with families, other team members, and community resources to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct developmental evaluations in the child's natural environment to identify strengths and needs
  • Communicate effectively with families and other team members in oral and written formats
  • Support and enhance the family's ability to interact with their child in daily routines
  • Develop and implement strategies to address IFSP outcomes, incorporating evidence-based practices and adapting to individual child needs
  • Maintain accurate records and data, adhering to departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • NJ Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
  • At least 2 years of experience working with young children with disabilities
  • Knowledge of normal child development, early intervention principles, and behavior management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and other team members
