We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Engineer to lead our Reservoir Coordinated Operations Unit. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe management of the state's water resources.
ResponsibilitiesThis senior engineering position involves leading a team of engineers responsible for developing and implementing hydrologic and reservoir operations models, collaborating with federal, state, and local partners to advance flood risk analysis and management solutions, and contributing to the development of decision support systems and tools for water supply and flood management decisions.
Main Duties- Supervise the issuance of river and reservoir inflow forecasts, which impact communities statewide.
- Develop and direct hydrologic and reservoir operations models studies, which aid water supply and flood management decisions by reservoir managers.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local partners to develop and implement engineering solutions for reservoir operations.
- Contribute to the development of decision support systems, tools, and dashboards for water supply and flood management decisions.
