Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Principal Water Resources Engineer to lead our water resources projects in San Diego, California. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of water resources projects, including dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on water resources projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and to ensure project delivery meets their requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow technical expertise and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects, and to maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in water resources engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- A valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
