Job Overview

Position Summary

The Financial Operations Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the integrity of the monthly and annual general ledger audits. This position will support the Controller and Chief Financial Officer in various financial activities, including budgeting, audit processes, financial reporting, and the creation of customized reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field in Finance/Business is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a business setting, particularly in Accounts Payable and audit functions.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with staff and external partners.
  • Flexibility in working hours is necessary to accommodate fiscal deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact between program sites, staff, vendors, and the Controller to address issues that may hinder the accurate processing of accounts payable and audit requirements.
  • Oversee the Fixed Asset system, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Conduct audits of General Ledger accounts in preparation for external fiscal year-end audits and internal month-end reports.
  • Assist the Controller in preparing year-end audit reports for external auditor review.
  • Monitor accounts payable activities and processes, compiling financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain a detailed spreadsheet of PATH activities for both internal and external reporting.
  • Responsible for all bank account reconciliation reports and the development of custom financial reports.
  • Manage monthly reporting for Butler County Housing Development (PB-811).
  • Oversee monthly payroll, credit card, and accounts receivable integration with the General Ledger; report any suspected fraud or abuse to the Chief Financial Officer and/or Executive Team.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Interact effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Adhere to all relevant evidence-based practice models.
  • Communicate information clearly and accurately.
  • Ensure program operations comply with the agency's certification standards and strategic plans related to clinical care.
  • Follow all program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
