Job Summary

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for patient service functions, including check-out operations, encounter form data collection, and account management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process encounter form data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and total outstanding balances and payments for services rendered.
  • Balance work and computer at end of day, ensuring accurate records.
  • Provide timely and accurate follow-up of claim issues, working with accounts receivable and responding to inquiries from insurance carriers, patients, and office managers.
  • Respond to a minimum of 32 tasks per day or an equivalent work assignment, as well as other daily duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a resource to Patient Service Representatives I, providing training and assistance with more complex issues.
Requirements
  • One (1) year experience in a medical office setting, with working knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling, collection, and experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding (charge entry) required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of total customer-facing/customer service experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
