Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating various treatments related to respiratory problems for patients of all ages. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide effective direct care and communicate patient care updates to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and coordinate respiratory treatments for patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team, including communicating with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess patients and take the proper course of action to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment, including performing maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans thoroughly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Care Professional) in the state of Georgia.
  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • One year of experience in a relevant position, preferably in a critical care or neonatal setting.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred licensure or certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Preferred educational requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Preferred experience: Two years of experience in a relevant position, preferably in a critical care or neonatal setting.
