Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Soleo Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will provide clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and provide clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications.
  • Perform sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
  • Maintain call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
  • Collect, document, disseminate, and coordinate customer communications, laboratory data, and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement staff.
  • Perform efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company's pharmacy software system.
  • Perform all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
  • Participate in company's quality assurance and performance improvement program.
  • Remain current with the BOP continuing education requirements and participate in company's CE offerings and annual re-credentialing process.
  • Perform receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
  • Perform the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled inventory counts and comply with Biomed's formulary management program.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP.
  • Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
  • Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred.
  • Current registration and ACPE requirements are met.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent sterile compounding technique.
  • Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
