At ESCO Lifesciences Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude and experience in laboratory and pharmaceutical equipment installation.

About the Role

This role involves assembling equipment from general arrangement drawings and rewiring pre-tested equipment safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical hardware specifications and be able to interpret and mark up general arrangement, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and detailed manufacturing drawings as required.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for utilizing project support documents during equipment and system assembly and test, including traceability matrices, engineering design calculations, bills of materials, test and validation protocols, operating, maintenance, and safety manuals, and work instructions for production and contractor functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble equipment from GA drawings and re-wire pre-tested equipment safely
  • Interpret and mark up GA, P&IDs, and detailed manufacturing drawings to required standards
  • Understand mechanical hardware specification and functional design specification for client projects
  • Utilize project support documents during equipment and system assembly & test
  • Learn to troubleshoot complex process systems, fans, pumps, control valves, instrumentation, electrical, and control systems
  • Provide assembly support for process equipment in the ESCO factory, ensuring highest levels of quality and unscheduled maintenance visits
