Key Responsibilities:- Call Management: Answer incoming calls from customers requiring towing services, roadside assistance, or other related services. Gather necessary information such as location, vehicle details, and service required.
- Tow Truck Dispatch: Coordinate with tow truck drivers to dispatch them to the appropriate locations based on urgency, distance, and availability. Ensure that drivers have all necessary information for efficient service delivery.
- Communication: Keep open lines of communication with customers, tow truck drivers, and other team members to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, dispatches, and customer information. Utilize computer systems or dispatch software for recording and tracking purposes.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the towing process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with roadside assistance providers, insurance companies, and law enforcement agencies as needed to facilitate towing and recovery operations.
- Operations Monitoring: Monitor the progress of towing operations, track towed vehicles, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in dispatching, logistics, or related fields is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role, preferably in the towing or automotive industry.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, drivers, and team members.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of towing regulations, safety procedures, and geographical areas is desirable.
- Adaptability: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while making quick and accurate decisions.
- Work Environment: This role typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional work in outdoor or field settings.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage for towing services.
- Physical Demands: May involve sitting for extended periods, using a computer and phone systems, and occasional lifting or moving of lightweight objects.
