Job Summary:

The Clinical Support Specialist - Emergency Room will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The ideal candidate will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach
  • Participate in performance improvement activities
  • Coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement
  • Make staff assignments based on patient need and the skill of the staff
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year ER experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS certification
