Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at NYU Langone Health System. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography testing and assisting physicians in delivering safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all types of echocardiography testing, including transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo
  • Capture digital cardiac images and perform measurements correctly, recognizing pathology and customizing exams as needed
  • Participate in quality control of equipment and escalate issues as necessary
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees as needed
  • Prepare echocardiogram procedures, including equipment, supplies, and paperwork
Requirements
  • Technical diploma from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program
  • Appropriate credential in echocardiography, such as ARDMS or CCI
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience performing echocardiography with various manufacturer echo machines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current and valid BLS certification
  • Experience as an echocardiography technologist in an outpatient setting
