Job Title: SQA Tester

Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a highly skilled SQA Tester to join our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have outstanding communications, interpersonal, and customer service skills, as well as knowledge of Automated and Manual testing policies and procedures.

  • Manage and coordinate test events with appropriate resources.
  • Coordinate with developers and functional analysts to create test plans and test scripts in accordance with VA-mandated testing documentation standards and templates.
  • Lead and conduct testing in accordance with Master Test Plan specifications that provide tracking, monitoring, and reporting of results.
  • Review and approve test reports.
  • Monitor and update defect and bug reports.
  • Create test reports.

The successful candidate will have experience testing with MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems, as well as experience with Electronic Data Interchanges (EDIs) and financial transaction systems.

Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to overall company success.

Experience in the coordination and management of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, and networks, as well as specialized environments.

Experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures is also a plus.

The successful candidate will be able to manage the defect database under the guidance of senior Quality Assurance (QA) engineers.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this specific opportunity.
