Job Title: Director of Financial Aid

Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Aid will lead the Financial Aid team in providing exceptional support to students in achieving their academic goals. This role will oversee the administration of financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the Financial Aid staff, ensuring adherence to state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on state and federal regulations for financial aid programs.
  • Compile necessary information and materials to administer financial aid, monitoring students' financial needs and ensuring timely disbursement.
  • Apply for renewal of funding for financial aid programs and set operations policy for the financial aid office.
  • Participate in problem-solving issues regarding financial aid and work with university departments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Review and implement fund balance reports and participate in campus committees and policy recommendations.
  • Write, maintain, and update the policies and procedures manual.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years in Financial Aid Programs or related experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Completion of the 20247-2025 NASFAA Professional Credentials.
  • Working knowledge of university policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations relating to Financial Aid.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in public or business administration, accounting, or related field and is a NASFFA Certified Financial Aid Administrator.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of work experience leading a proficient financial aid team.
  • Experience managing a team on multiple campuses.
  • A NASFAA Certified Financial Aid Administrator.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
