Gastroenterologist: Physician Scientist

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Stanford University seeks a gastroenterologist as Assistant or Associate Professor in the University Medical Line.
We are interested in enhancing our scientific portfolio with translational researchers to carry on the Division's scientific mission.
The scope of the investigative interest of the researcher is broad, with respect to organ specificity, scientific discipline, or methodological expertise.
The successful applicant should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and a demonstrable record of scholarly achievement, including the ability to conduct team science by collaborating productively with other investigators and clinicians.
The candidate must possess or be able to obtain a California medical license and board certification/board eligibility in gastroenterology.
As a physician-scientist, the candidate is expected to have demonstrated excellence in patient care.
The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service.
Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, and Stanford University value faculty who will help foster an inclusive academic environment.

The expected base pay range for this position is $292,000 - $329,000 for Assistant Professor and $344,000 - $366,000 for Associate Professor.
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.
It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.

Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including experience and qualifications.
