With a rich heritage of American innovation, LogistiQ combines the expertise of a century-old enterprise with the agility and dynamism of a start-up.

We are in search of a proficient Project Manager to supervise the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems from our operational base. The ideal candidate will possess a background in the conveyor sector, exceptional project management capabilities, and outstanding leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all planning and execution phases for conveyor and automation equipment projects.
  • Formulate project timelines and ensure that all tasks are completed punctually and within financial constraints.
  • Provide updates on project progress, potential risks, and challenges to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Project Managers, Installation Coordinators/Managers, and Program Managers to effectively plan and carry out implementation projects as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
  • Establish strong professional relationships with both external and internal clients, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Address any project-related challenges that may arise and devise contingency strategies when necessary.
  • Coordinate with various departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to guarantee project success.
  • Deliver training and support to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
  • Maintain precise project documentation and reporting.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally within the conveyor industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with conveyor system design and installation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations occasionally, up to 20% of the time.
  • Experience with Lewco conveyor products and Intralox Sorters is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of building codes relevant to the specific products involved in implementation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, project management, or a related field, or 10 years of equivalent field experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals.
  • Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Fluency in reading and writing English is required; understanding of Spanish is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to navigate and operate within the company's ERP and CRM software.
  • Proficient typing skills are essential.
  • Experience with AutoDesk products for viewing drawings is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms while performing job duties.
  • Exposure to materials with SDS sheets, though not life-threatening.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical components. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
