Job SummaryThe Interventional Radiology Nurse will be responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals under the supervision of the Radiologists and the Director of Imaging Services. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Interventional Radiology department, including pre-examination and post-examination assessments, patient education, and documentation of care.
- Assess patient condition and take immediate action in emergency situations, responding to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
- Perform pre-examination and post-examination assessments for angiography, CT scan, and minor special procedures, including physical exam, extremity pulses, allergies, current medication, and medical history.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Current RN licensure in Florida.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- 5 years of current hospital experience in Medical Cardiac, Emergency Room, or Critical Care.
- Radiology Nursing Certification preferred.
