Role Summary

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will be instrumental in managing the daily functions of our Starbucks outlet. Your leadership will ensure that our customers receive outstanding service and that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will oversee a team of baristas, guiding them in their roles and maintaining a positive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Inspire and manage a team, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive environment. Oversee daily operations and assign tasks effectively.
  • Customer Engagement: Deliver exceptional service by welcoming customers, processing orders, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards for beverage and food preparation, ensuring compliance with established recipes and guidelines.
  • Training: Onboard new team members, imparting knowledge of company standards and customer service excellence. Provide continuous feedback and support.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Financial Transactions: Accurately handle cash and manage the cash register, adhering to financial protocols.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment, following all health regulations and food safety practices.
  • Scheduling: Collaborate with management to create effective shift schedules that meet operational needs.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a café or restaurant setting.
  • Strong passion for coffee and familiarity with Starbucks products (certification is advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and handle customer concerns professionally.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Comfort with bending, stooping, and reaching.
