Medical Screener Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough donor identification, registration, and screening processes to ensure donor suitability according to industry standards and company policies.
- Draw vein and finger stick samples as required, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and precision.
- Manage the efficient flow of donors through registration and screening, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
- Assess pre-donation unsuitability signals, perform vital signs, HCT/TP testing, donor deferral, and donor reaction management with competence and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with physicians and physician substitutes for physicals, assessments, document review, SPE approval, NAT testing protocols, immunizations, and other related tasks.
- Perform calibration and cleaning of equipment according to pre-determined schedules and SOPs.
- Review donor records and perform identification according to SOPs.
- Set up and program Haemonetics Autopheresis equipment with understanding of alarm signals during operation, shutdown, and power failure.
- Maintain equipment calibration, standardization, and cleaning schedules according to SOPs.
- Ensure the donor floor is properly stocked with supplies and soft goods.
- Enter donor data and exceptions accurately and in compliance with company SOPs.
- Monitor donors for potential issues and understand how to handle donor adverse events and collection exceptions.
