Job Overview

My Health Onsite is a leading provider of onsite and near-site health and wellness centers, delivering advanced personalized work-site healthcare solutions to employers. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient engagement and improving healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oximetry.
  • Provide information and assistance to patients, promoting a culture of care and compassion.
  • Perform blood draws, administer injections and vaccinations, and input medical information into the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure the security of patient care information.
  • Assist physicians and medical staff with procedures and treatments, providing support and expertise.
  • Perform general office duties, including scheduling appointments and answering telephone calls.
  • Promote wellness programs and initiatives, encouraging patients to take an active role in their health.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate.
  • Two years of recent clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary or urgent care setting.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Understanding of CPT and ICD10 codes.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CT) certification (preferred).
