Job Title: Space Propulsion Assembly Mechanic A- 2nd Shift

This is a unique opportunity to work on the 2nd shift at our West Palm Beach facility as a Space Propulsion Assembly Mechanic A. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, mounting, and testing development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, mount, and test development and production space propulsion systems, components, and rigs.
  • Work from procedures, drawings/prints, work instructions, and specifications while interfacing with engineering to meet balancing, assembling, mounting, and testing requirements on new or development hardware.
  • Assist in the cleaning, assembly, setup, and pressure testing of components, rigs, and facilities.
  • Operate and maintain various support equipment, making simple modifications as required.
  • Work with methods and operations engineers to devise and develop improved tooling and process changes in both the assembly and test processes.
  • Audit records, analyze and compute data, and maintain logs to assure compliance to departmental procedures and customer requirements.
  • Comply with Federal & State Environmental and Safety regulations, as well as conform to Company guidelines and procedures for operation of both test facilities and space propulsion systems in assembly areas.
  • Perform other related work of a comparable or lower skill level as required or directed by higher-grade mechanic/supervision in support of department objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance in the handling and distribution of liquids, steam, cryogenics, and high-pressure gases.
  • Perform routine calibrations, maintain facilities, and comply with area Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Maintain logs and records as required.
  • Occasional travel to off-site customer locations to perform service bulletin.
  • Refer difficulties or unusual situations to leader/supervision.
Requirements:
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • 4-5 years of direct experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Starting pay is $47.19 per hour, but can vary based upon experience.
