Job Summary:

Electronic Security Technician Level 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Security Technician Level 2 to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a valued member, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of state-of-the-art security systems in all DAS-owned facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair manual and computer-controlled electronic systems.
  • Network, repair, and install security systems, including computer-controlled electronic access systems and fire alarm integration.
  • Ensure the safety of state employees and the general public by guaranteeing the proper functioning of security systems.
Requirements:
  • Holding a current Limited Energy Journeyman (LEA) electrical license issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division AND six years of experience in installing, maintaining, or fixing manual and computer-controlled electronic systems; OR
  • Possessing a General Journeyman Electrician license AND six years of experience in installing, maintaining, or fixing manual and computer-controlled electronic systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prioritized consideration may be given to candidates with specialized experience in electronic security systems.
Desirable Traits:
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively prioritize and organize work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in working with a Computer Integrated Facilities Management System (CIFMS).
  • Proficiency in operating LENEL software and hardware, network video system software and hardware, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the capability to quickly learn.
  • Basic understanding of electronic theory and equipment, including computer-based electronic access systems, CCTV, and other digital security devices.
