- Position Overview:
This role involves conducting neuro-diagnostic assessments, specifically EEG studies, in both outpatient and inpatient environments. The incumbent must possess strong technical skills, exceptional patient care abilities, and a capacity to engage with critically ill pediatric patients.
Qualifications:- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostics training program is preferred, though a combination of education and practical experience may be acceptable.
- Experience: Previous experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team is essential. A minimum of one year as an EEG Technologist is preferred.
- Mandatory Certifications: AHA BLS Certification, REEGT, High School Diploma.
- Current and valid government-issued photo identification is required.
- Verification of certifications is mandatory.
- BLS certification is required for all nursing and ancillary staff.
- PALS certification is required for all registered nurses.
- NRP certification is necessary for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
- Primary source verification of credentials must be completed within 30 days of employment.
- National certification is preferred for Anesthesia Technicians.
- National certification is required for Central Processing Technicians I/II.
- National certification and state license are required for Clinical Lab Scientists.
- CA ASW/SW is required for Clinical Social Workers I/II.
- CA ASW/SW is required for Medical Social Workers II.
- Neurology Technician certification is not required.
- Certification or training as an Operating Room Technician is preferred.
- Certification is not required for Orthopedic Technicians.
- CA CNA license is required for Patient Care Assistants.
- National certification and state license are required for Respiratory Care Practitioners II.
