We are seeking a skilled and reliable Transportation Specialist II to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining motor vehicles within our Food Service Department in a safe and sanitary manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and retrieve items to specified locations on a determined schedule.
- Maintain assigned vehicles in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Clean and stock assigned areas, including parking areas, docks, and walk-in vaults.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in disaster response and recovery efforts or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of traffic safety regulations.
- Ability to maneuver large trucks into tight areas safely.
- Ability to tell time and work with a schedule.
- Ability to communicate and work with others in a cooperative and positive manner.
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
Working Conditions:
This position requires regular attendance and may involve working a specific shift schedule, extended shifts, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy.
