Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and talented Fire Protection Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. This mid-level role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fire protection engineering and eager to grow in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Design & Analysis:
    • Develop and design fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and smoke management systems.
    • Conduct hydraulic calculations, fire and smoke modeling, and risk assessments.
    • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Code Consulting & Compliance:
    • Perform code reviews and ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Provide consultation to clients and project teams on fire protection codes and standards.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into overall designs.
  • Project Support:
    • Assist senior engineers with project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of fire protection systems.
    • Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of proposals and presentations.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 3-6 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
    • EIT certification or PE license in Fire Protection Engineering (or willingness to obtain).
    • Proficiency in fire protection design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
