Position:
PRN- All Shifts

Key Responsibilities

The Patient Access Coordinator I will manage and process all incoming calls at the console; oversee all alarms and security systems while executing emergency protocols; maintain and update manuals, call lists, and directories; and provide training for new staff members.

This role involves making critical decisions regarding the notification of administrative personnel, staff, and employees in response to situations that affect the health, safety, and business interests of the hospital.

Responsible for completing patient registrations at bedside and/or in designated registration areas, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Engages with patients, families, physicians, nurses, managers, and other staff members while handling confidential patient information. All duties are performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital.


Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years of clerical experience is required, preferably in a healthcare environment. Previous experience with PBX systems is preferred.

Skills:
Familiarity with Windows-based operating systems is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
