Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join our team at D2B Groups. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment used in various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform inspections, and complete necessary repairs or part replacements to ensure optimal equipment functioning and minimize downtime.
  • Customer Service: Work directly with clients to understand their equipment needs, provide expert advice, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Technical Skills: Possess strong technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment expertise, to effectively diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, including Service Supervisors, to plan effective work schedules, share knowledge, and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Continuous Learning: Strive to increase technical skills through attendance at company-sponsored vocational schools, annual training meetings, and reading of technical literature to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Company Image and Representation: Maintain a neat, personal appearance and keep the service truck in a clean, polished, and orderly condition to promote a positive company image.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of field service experience, preferably in heavy equipment or generator maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, as well as proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
