Job Title: Public Service Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Public Service Driver to join our team at TransForce. As a Public Service Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a school bus and transporting students to and from designated locations.

About the Role

In this role, you will be required to drive a school bus and transport students to and from school, following a predetermined route. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bus, ensuring that it is in good working condition.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operates a vehicle on an assigned route in transporting passengers to and from designated locations, as well as related activities, in a safe, timely manner.
  • Maintains, reads and understands route sheets including time changes and notifies supervisor immediately of any changes.
  • Maintains good work habits through timeliness and low absenteeism for daily assignments and extra trips.
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a Class B or higher Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet the requirements to attain and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
