Job Summary

The Director of Business Services/Controller is a key member of the Klamath Community College team, responsible for maintaining and analyzing financial information, preparing and presenting financial reports, and ensuring the fiscal stability of the college. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and financial analytics, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fiscal forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning for the college and foundation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports for college entities and programs, reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and analyze financial information, preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Design, administer, and manage systems for budget-related programs, vendor relationships, and regulatory activities.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external customers and vendors to gather information, resolve issues, and complete work on schedule.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in accounting or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in accounting with at least five years of accounting experience in a lead role.
  • At least three years of management experience in fiscal responsibility positions with increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
