Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU nurse, you will closely monitor and care for patients immediately following surgery, utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.
Responsibilities- Monitor and care for patients in the PACU, utilizing critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including those undergoing general, orthopedic, urologic, vascular, robotic, gynecologic, dental, and spine surgeries.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting a smooth transition to post-operative care.
- Current state RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
