Job Summary:

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a skilled Angiography Technologist to join our team in Grand Blanc, MI. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing angiograms, digital angiography, and invasive specialized radiologic procedures under the direction of a radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, operating complex radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment to obtain quality diagnostic radiographs and images.
  • Provide emergency angiographic services 24 hours a day, demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to care for patients.
  • Operate complex radiographic equipment in special suites, delivering quality patient care and adhering to universal precautions.
  • Assist physician specialists in sterile invasive procedures, such as arterial and venous catheterization studies.
  • Responsible for equipment, supplies, and inventories in special rooms, administering contrast agents under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Evaluate equipment malfunctions and report to the proper authority, assisting in the instruction and training of students and technical resources for residents.
  • Perform other related duties, such as staff radiologic technologist, clerical tasks, and transportation of patients.

Requirements:

  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Associates level degree in radiologic technology is preferred, with three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Must possess analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and guest relations to effectively interact with patients, staff, and physicians.

Working Conditions:

Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards, patient illnesses, communicable diseases, and blood-borne pathogens.

Education/Licensure/Registration:

Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Associates level degree in radiologic technology is preferred, with three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Must possess analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and guest relations to effectively interact with patients, staff, and physicians.
