Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Angiography Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing angiograms, digital angiography, and invasive specialized radiologic procedures under the direction of a radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures and operate complex radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs and images.
  • Provide emergency angiographic services 24/7 and demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to care for patients of all ages.
  • Assist physician specialists in sterile invasive procedures, such as arterial and venous catheterization studies.
  • Responsible for equipment, supplies, and inventories in special rooms and administer contrast agents under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Perform sterile surgical scrub techniques for vascular procedures and evaluate equipment malfunctions, reporting to the proper authority.
  • Assist in the instruction and training of students and technical resources for residents.
  • Knowledge of subtraction techniques, hospital computer, and networking images, as well as proficiency in handling emergency medical situations.
  • Perform other related duties, such as staff radiologic technologist, clerical tasks, and transportation of patients.
Requirements
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Associates level degree in radiologic technology is preferred, and three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
  • Must possess analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and guest relations to effectively interact with patients, staff, and physicians.
Working Conditions
