Amazon Legal Counsel for Cross Border Expansion

As a seasoned attorney, you will play a pivotal role in Amazon's Exports & Expansions legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with dynamic business teams and drive strategic growth through cross-border expansion.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for supporting high-stakes projects and agreements, providing counsel to business development teams, and working closely with international colleagues to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Your expertise will ensure that all relevant legal requirements are met, and risks are effectively managed.
A Day in the Life:
This is a fast-paced environment where you will thrive on continuous challenges and ambiguity. You will work independently, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams while exercising sound judgment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years' experience in a national or international law firm
- In-house experience is highly valued
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Compensation Package:
The base salary for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Our total compensation package includes equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits, ensuring a competitive remuneration package for the successful candidate.
