About the Role:

This exciting opportunity involves providing program and financial analysis and guidance for the MWR organization under the general supervision of the Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program Director.

Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for an individual with in-depth knowledge, background, and experience in administrative, programming, or other responsible work that enables them to gain knowledge of management practices and administrative processes.
  • The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the needs, problems, and solutions in administering management programs relating to recreation and possess knowledge of goals, principles, practices, and techniques of recreation.
  • The key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive analysis of the organizational structures, methods, and procedures, making favorable personal contact with all levels of management personnel and operating officials, and possessing extensive knowledge of budgeting, financial management planning, and project planning and initiation.
  • Possessing executive experience and strong organizational, administrative, and management skills, along with supervisory experience in recreation and business environments, is essential for this role.
  • A positive leader who can influence the actions of others in obtaining cooperation and assistance to meet the mission of the department is required.
  • Independent judgments and sound decisions or recommendations that significantly impact policies or programs; presenting and selling ideas, plans, and programs to the command and higher authority for approval are also necessary.
